My Mom Bucket List

I know a lot of people have bucket lists.  I have tried to write several but really I am pretty satisfied with my life and while doing some things would be cool, in all honesty I am ok with what I have seen and what I have done.  BUT, there are a few things I would like to do as a mom so I thought I would share them with you.  I know some of these are idealized and some of these are very simple, but they are all things I want to do so I am writing them down so that I do not forget.

1. Start a question book.  This book is where C and I will write all his questions or thoughts throughout the week.  On a specific day each week we will sit down and try and discover the answer to as many of his questions as possible.

2. Figure out a fun/cool/tactile way to document all the places he goes.  I know I collect magnets, but that's me. I need to figure out something for him, whether it is a specific photo we take, an ornament, a postcard...I am not sure yet but it needs to be something!  Especially since he has already started the whole traveling thing.

3.  Do art gallery displays of his and his friends artwork.  I want to frame their pictures and place them on the walls for parents and siblings to walk by and admire while eating punch and snacks prepared by the kids.

4.  Build massive blanket forts.

5.  Help him memorize Bible verses.   Maybe one a month when he is little, and move up to one a week when he is older.

6.  Host scavenger hunts!

7.  Read every book in his bookcase.

8. Make a special day plate and use it for big and small achievements.

9. Teach him to camp, to cook, to build something.  (Granted this means I need to learn how to camp and build, but I am up for it)

10.  Grow something with him.

This is it for now.  I know I will come up with more in the future, but it is as good a start as any :).
